2015 Gucci Stakes - Secret Agenda too good

SecretAgenda 486Secret Agenda stayed towards the inside and revelled in the going to win Thursday's Group III Gucci Stakes (1100m) at Flemington.

The race was run in heavy rain, which caused the track to soften quickly, but Secret Agenda had no trouble with the going.
The field split in two from the start and Damien Oliver stuck to the inside from barrier four with the outside division, led by Tempt Me Not and Ottoman, marginally in front 200m out.

Dissident polled 119 votes, clear of dual Group I winner Brazen Beau (58) and Contributer (31), in the award decided by a national group of handicappers and racing media with points awarded on a 3-2-1 basis.

Trained by Peter Moody, Dissident was also named champion sprinter for his wins up to and including 1400 metres, namely the Memsie, C F Orr and All Aged Stakes as well as the Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Group I level.

Arrowfield Welcome First Foals for Dundeel

Arrowfield's Manager Paul Messara has welcomed the Stud's first two foals by Australian champion Dundeel.

Messara says, "We're delighted with both these foals, they're full of quality and athletic, and offer early evidence that Dundeel is going to be well-suited to the mares we've selected for him."
